Data collection app

The Data collection app add-on consists of one or multiple Android devices that will support Data Collectors to obtain data of a property and owner. Although the questionnaire that can be used on the device is customizable to cater for the local needs, there are always a number of questions that need to be answered in order to enable Revenue calculation and Bill distribution:

• Categorization (Type / sub-type) of the property to enable appropriate selection of the rate
• Data of the owner (who is responsible for paying the bill?)
• Location (address, including photograph) of the property and owner (where to send the bill to…)
• Contact preferences (paper bill, or e-bill and e-payment)

e-Channels

The e-Channels platform consists of a set of components that allow creation of JSON and/ or XML-messages that contain several types of information. It also caters form receiving and consuming JSON and/or XML-messages. This add-on needs a Message broker, or e-Message platform that interfaces with a Telco to deliver text messages (SMS) to mobile phones. Normally we use the larger message brokers, as they have better access and better conditions with the Telco.

Next, it has a functional component, that allows for configuring different types of e-messages and a scheduling component that can be used to send messages in a certain order with a certain delay between messages.

An example is first sending a heads-up message. Then an e-Bill. If an e-Payment is received, it will send out an e-Receipt. If payment is overdue, then e-Reminders can be sent, via the same mechanism.
