From 2005 onwards, I have been specializing in the Tax and Revenue domain and specifically there where business (analysis) meets information technology. I have been a speaker at international large and smaller venues on various topics regarding Taxation and IT, Business Intelligence, and Anti-fraud capability enhancements.
Modernization projects
I have been supporting several national tax administrations’ modernization projects in different countries such as The Netherlands, Denmark, Mozambique, Angola and Mongolia as a Project Manager, Consultant or Subject Matter Expert.
International organizations
Since 2015 I have been working with different international organizations to develop and implement a software application that supports a Collection-led local tax methodology to improve tax revenues and public services. Examples are the Ghana TREE (Tax Revenues for Economic Enhancement) project, the decentralization of property tax project in the Palestinian Territories, a Water Pricing project in Ethiopia and a DRM project, also in Ethiopia, sponsored by the EU.
